Presenter:     Good evening viewers, you are welcome to another life changing edition of “WHY SIT?” on D-PLUS TV. My name is Kelvin Jonathan your usual anchor. This evening, we shall be revealing a hidden secret that has been a stumbling block to the success of many people. Many people have great vision, but these visions have not materialized. The hindrance blocking the realization of these visions is what today’s programme is set to expose and provide a lasting solution to.
This evening, I have in the house, someone that will help us analyze the cause of this problem and how to solve it. She is a woman with wealth of experience, a woman of virtue, a great visioneer, a good mother, and a life changing councilor. She is Mrs. Ruth Akande. {The Presenter turns to her}.

Presenter:    Good evening Mrs. Akande, you are welcome to “WHY SIT” on D-PLUS TV. It is a privilege to have you on this programme.

Mrs. Akande: {Smiles} thank you very much Mr. Presenter.
Presenter:    Mrs. Akande, you have helped in changing the life’s of so many people with your counseling, can you tell the viewers what motivated you to do so.
Mrs. Akande: {Takes a deep breath} what motivated me to start counseling people was my encounter with a young man that has a great gift in him but he did not know. He thought he is an empty being. I advised him and helped him discover himself. After that encounter, I thought of the fact that there are so many people like this young man and that was how I began the search for people with great potentials and I created a platform to counsel them.
Presenter:    Wow! That’s very good. So how has the journey been so far?
Mrs. Akande: The journey has been good, although very challenging. Changing people’s mentality is a great task.
Presenter:     All right. Hmm, our viewers cannot wait to benefit from your wealth of experience. Please can you share with us some of the reasons why peoples visions fail to materialize?
Mrs. Akande: Firstly, most people have failed to discover that there is a giant in them. They have not discovered that they are a blessing to this world and that there mind is their great asset. So in order to do anything great in life, you have to discover yourself and many have failed in this aspect.
Presenter:    Hmm, so the direction in which a man’s life will go starts from discovery of his true identity. That’s a very good point. Another point ma?
Mrs. Akande: Another problem is the issue of inferiority complex. So many people do not believe that they can give out something good to the world. They believe that others that are doing great things are better than them.
Presenter:     Thank you ma. So viewers at home, you are the best of your kind, never believe that nothing good can come out of your life. Mrs. Ruth can you give the viewers one more point.
Mrs. Ruth:     This point that I will discuss is a major problem that is causing a great set back for many people. Success and the realization of vision is not based on discovery of purpose and overcoming inferiority complex alone. Every individual needs to stand up and work towards the realization of their vision.
Presenter:    {Enthusiastic} This sounds interesting but a little but confusing, please can you shed more light on the point.
Mrs. Ruth:     In the journey of life, a man needs to discover himself and overcome inferiority complex in order to bring his vision to reality. It is not all about discovery and overcoming inferiority complex alone because so many people have been able to pass through the first two steps but their vision has not yet materialize.
Presenter:    Ma, please do not kill us with suspense. I know viewers at home are glued to their seats and are eager to hear you reveal this great secret.
Mrs. Akande: Hmmm, it’s very simple but complicated. The fact is that many people are ‘SITTING’.
Presenter:     SITTING!
Mrs. Akande: Yes! Sitting. So many people are sitting instead of facing the challenges affecting them. So many people want to be great but are not ready to pay the price for it. Let me share a short story that my grandmother told me when I was a young girl.
{FLASH BACK}

A young man comes out and calls himself challenges, he said he is not to destroy people’s destiny. He blocks a pathway.
Another young man comes out to say every good plans he has in mind but he eventually becomes confused because he has not been able to achieve any of his dreams.

Challenges:   I am challenges; my work is to destroy people’s plan, vision and destiny. Any man that does not over come me cannot make it in life.
Young man:  I know I am blessing to my generation, I have discovered myself and I am convinced that I am the best of my kind but I have not been able to achieve my vision. I want to be a great actor, I want to help the poor, I want to inspire the world with my acting but I have been standing here for years without progress.
Challenges:  You will continue to stand there until you over come me because I am blocking the path to your success.
Young man:  You this man, please leave the way.
Challenges:  I will not leave until you learn how to overcome me.

{The young man stands at a corner and started thinking. An old woman who had been listening to their conversation comes out and ask the young man what the problem is}.

Old woman:  Young man what is the problem? Why are you dejected?
Young man:  I have not been able to achieve my dreams and visions. Infact my life is meaningless.
Old woman:  Hmm, young man, the meaninglessness of your life is based on the fact that you are sitting.
Young man:  Old woman, I can see that you are very old and you might have a little problem with your eyes. I am not sitting. I am standing.
Old woman:  It is not when you are sitting physically that you are sitting; you are also sitting when you fail to face the challenges blocking your road to success. The man standing over these will only destroy your destiny, if you allow him to, but I tell you young man, he is only meant to be a stepping stone to your greatness. Move closer to him and face him, you will overcome him.
Young man:  {He walks towards the tall man}. I have discovered myself. I know that I am a solution to many problems in the world and I have realized that you are only a stepping stone to my greatness. So let me move further.
{The man allows him to pass further and he thanked the Old woman}

{BACK TO THE STUDIO}
Mrs. Ruth:     That’s the story. So many people have failed to face their challenges and that is why they are standing on a particular spot. So this is the major problem that is hindering the success of many people.
Presenter:    Wow! What a great revelation. Thank you very much ma. Viewers at home, you have heard it all. The meaninglessness of a man’s life is based on the fact that he is sitting and since challenges are inescapable in life, “WHY SIT? On this note we have come to the end of today’s programme and I will like to say a very big thank you to my guest Mrs. Ruth Akande and to my production crew, I say thank you very much, to all viewers, I want you to know that, since challenges are inescapable in life, “Don’t Sit”. Thank you very much, I am Kelvin Jonathan, saying, face your challenges with a positive attitude and good night.

THE END
